Beijing time on October 3, eBay said on Wednesday that the company accused Amazon of “illegally and uncomfortable” access to merchants on the platform.

According to eBay, Amazon employees have been using eBay's seller information feature to convince merchants to switch to Amazon. According to the report, the “plan” has been implemented for several years and implemented in several countries. Earlier this week, EBay posted a letter requesting that the action be stopped.

eBay said in a statement: "We found that Amazon has an illegal and disturbing plan that requires eBay sellers to switch to Amazon's platform. ”“We have asked Amazon to stop its illegal activities and we will take appropriate steps to protect eBay as needed. ”

The Amazon spokesperson told CNBC in a statement that the company was "completely investigating these allegations".

EBay said it found hundreds of Amazon employees trying to bypass the company's content monitoring information —— such as spelling email addresses, adding extra characters to disguise the word "Amazon" and suggesting offline links.

eBay said the contact violated the California Integrated Computer Data Access and Fraud Act.
