As early as 2015, Microsoft has been working with Red Hat to jointly develop cloud-based solutions for the enterprise market. After two years in the enterprise market in many aspects of closer cooperation, today the two companies once again announced to help enterprises more easily deploy containers.
The partnership includes deploying Red Hat OpenShift on Microsoft Azure, native support for Windows Server on the Red Hat OpenShift container platform, native support for SQL Server on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and OpenShift.
Red Hat and Microsoft said it was very difficult to consolidate the container platform, so by working on Azure deployment of OpenShift significantly improved working conditions. From both sides of the engineers work together to optimize the Microsoft cloud platform OpenShift Dedicated, this feature will be in early 2018 on the line.
