As Dell's flagship workstation, the Precision 7800 and 7900 series use the most advanced hardware devices, providing hardware developers with unparalleled functionality, performance and scalability. The Precision 7800 system uses a tower/desktop design, while the Precision 7900 workstation uses a local tower chassis design or can be mounted in a rack (requires 2U size).

The new Precision 7820 and Precision 7920 will be available in May this year and can be equipped with one or two Intel Xeon Scalable 'Cascade Lake-SP' processors. The AVX512_VNNI instruction can provide up to 56 physical cores for efficient processing of neural networks. Workload. In terms of graphics and GPGPU, the new Precision 7900 series can be equipped with up to three NVIDIA Quadro RTX graphics cards. Currently, the official does not describe whether to support GV100 GPUs, but I believe it should be supported.

The most hard-core Precision 7920 can be configured with up to 3TB of DDR4 DRAM, up to 16GB of PCI/NVMe SSD, and up to 20/96 TB of storage with 10 3.5-inch disks. At present, Dell has not announced the price information of the Precision 7000 series workstations, but believes that it takes tens of thousands of dollars to purchase such a workstation.
