Tesla replaced the Nvida chips of Model S and Model X electric vehicles with customized chips about a month ago, and began using customized chips on Model 3 electric vehicles about 10 days ago, Musk said. Tesla is working with Samsung to produce chips.

In an e-mail, a spokesman for Invida said Tesla's Full Self Driving computer chip 144 TOPS (trillion operations per second) was inaccurate compared with the Rive Xavier chip of Invida's 21 TOPS. The exact comparison should be with Nvidia Drive AGX Pegasus, an automatic driving computer chip of Invida, which is based on artificial intelligence perception, localization and pegasus. Data processing speed in path planning can reach 320 TOPS.

At Monday's close, Nvidia shares rose 1.16% to $188.47, with a total market value of about $11.683 billion.
