In just 5 months, the Xiaomi Wuhan headquarters building has taken shape and will be completed by October, and then it will be renovated and ready to enter.
According to reports, the Xiaomi Wuhan headquarters building project is located in the central city of Guanggu, with a total construction area of about 52,000 square meters and a total investment of 320 million yuan. It is the first project of Xiaomi Group's layout in Wuhan.
The overall architectural design of the building is simple and clear, fresh and environmentally friendly. The interior will use high-tech means such as energy consumption intelligent monitoring system, intelligent parking system and face recognition system to manage the later operation of the building.
Liu Guojun, head of Xiaomi Wuhan, introduced that Xiaomi's Wuhan headquarters plans to build a “super R&D headquarters”, which will reach 10,000 people in 10 years. In the future, it will undertake the AIOT, big data, and the three companies of Xiaomi, Jinshan and Shunwei.cloud serviceCore businesses such as e-commerce, new retail, office software, overseas R&D, games, and financial investment.
After the building is completed, it will become an important R&D and talent base of Xiaomi Group and Jinshan Group, which can accommodate approximately 2,400 to 3,000 employees.

Through the international design tender, the Xiaomi Wuhan Headquarters project selected the design plan of ICU Architects, the proud disciple of the world architect, Ando Tadao.
The project design starts from the status quo, combines the topographical features and the surrounding environment, arranges various functional layouts reasonably, creates a unique spatial form, and follows the design principle of people-oriented and green ecology in the design, trying to create comfortable, elegant and harmonious work for Xiaomi employees. Learning and living environment.
There are two buildings and three courtyard spaces in the plot. The office building is located on the north side of the plot, so that it can fully enjoy the natural scenery from Jiufeng Mountain. The exhibition building is connected to the office building and extends southward.

The south side courtyard is the vestibule representing the architectural image, the north side courtyard is the street-facing open plaza, and the west side courtyard is the continuation space of the adjacent green space. The two buildings face the two courtyards respectively.
The designer used two simple geometric shapes, in which the main building is a 100m × 40m box, the outer glass curtain wall and the interior transparent, opaque floor glass enclosed into two spaces.

On June 29, 2017, Xiaomi, Jinshan and Shun were officially unveiled at the Wuhan headquarters.
