According to Digitimes,The Mate 30 will be powered by a Kirin 985 chip based on TSMC 7nm technologyFC-PoP technology package for solar, moonlight and silicon products.Trial production has been successfully carried out in the second quarter and large-scale production will be carried out in the third quarter.

However, Kirin 985 still integrates 4G baseband at the chip level. To support 5G, it still needs to adopt the way of external Balong 5G baseband.

Reported thatThe new SoC developed by Huawei after Kirin 985 will integrate 5G baseband directly, and it is expected to come out early next year.And the supported frequency band also covers high frequency millimeter wave.
