There are many benefits to using a 64-bit system, and it supports the simultaneous development of 32-bit and 64-bit applications. Conversely, you cannot develop 64-bit applications on 32-bit systems and IDEs.

In addition, 64-bit applications can access more than 4GB of memory and developers can test applications on 64-bit emulators.

Google said that after June 30, the 32-bit version of the Android Emulator (28.0.25) will be eliminated, meaning it won't get any new features.

After December 31 this year, the 32-bit version of the Android Studio integrated development environment will also be abandoned. By December 31, 2020, both products will be discontinued.
