ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 7
The high-end X1 in 2019 ushered in a new bright spot: the optional carbon fiber braided top cover, a design change visible to many loyal ThinkPad users. In addition to this dramatic change in appearance, ThinkPad X1 Carbon has become lighter this year: the 14-inch laptop weighs less than 2.5 pounds and weighs only 14.95 mm, making it "the lightest commercial 14-inch laptop in the world".
The 2019 X1C also has the latest 8th generationIntelCore processor, 16GB RAM and up to 2TB PCIeSSDStorage. At the same time, Lenovo began to offer a variety of display options, including conventional 1080p.4KThe HDR model also comes with a bright, low-power 1080p display, which helps extend battery life. Lenovo said that with the screen, the battery can last up to 15 hours. On the other hand, two USB-A ports remain, and one more USB-C Thunderbolt port is added.
ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 4
ThinkPad X1 Yoga uses aluminium fuselage. Although aluminium is heavier than carbon fibers, the 2019 model continues to reduce equipment weight. Lenovo claims that the new X1 Yoga is 11% thicker and 17% smaller in floor area, and still retains the MIL-STD-810G three-proof level.
Of course, as a sacrifice, Lenovo cancelled the Lift and Lock keyboards. Jerry Paradise, Vice President of Business Product Portfolio, said, "In order to build the 2019 ThinkPad X1 Yoga, we have developed a new approach to meet the reliability, quality and availability requirements of ThinkPad in engineering, design and materials. Despite the tremendous challenges, it ultimately provides a pleasant customer experience.
It should be noted that Lenovo has put ThinkShutter's privacy baffle and infrared camera on the same device. Users had to choose between the two before, and now they can use facial recognition more easily.
