This round of cooperation includes allowing SAP to access in advanceIntelEmerging technologies and will create the Center of Excellence. In an interview with foreign media TechCrunch, Rajeeb Hazra, Intel's vice president of corporate and government operations, said: "We will build a long-standing technology partnership focused on Intel platform innovation... covering the entire SAP end-to-end enterprise software application. Program combination, including SAP S / 4HANA".

He said the collaboration covers multiple areas of Intel's technology, including CPUs, accelerators, data centers, persistent storage and software infrastructure. He explained: "We are using all data-centric product portfolios to move data faster, store data more efficiently and handle a variety of workload data."

Irfan Khan, president of SAP Platforms and Technology, said the partnership should help provide better performance in the SAP product suite, including its in-memory database product SAP S / 4HANA. In a statement, he wrote, "Our expanded partnership with Intel will accelerate the migration of our customers to SAP S / 4HANA, allowing organizations to more easily release the value of data assets with greater visibility, focus and agility. Take action."

This is the latest development in SAP's announcement in May that it will fully move to the Intel Xeon Scalable processor and use Intel Optane persistent memory. Both parties pointed out that Intel Optane DC persistent memory has higher memory density and supports faster computing.

In a standard test on both sides, SAP HANA boot speed using Intel technology is better than traditional DRAM andSSDThe environment is 12.5 times faster. In the 6TB SAP HANA instance environment, the data search time was reduced from the last 50 minutes to 4 minutes. In addition, the Intel Optane persistent memory runs SAP NANA as the underlying enterprise application system, which is less afraid of computer downtime and higher security.

It is reported that the cooperation between the two sides will begin in the fourth quarter of this year.
