On August 1, Beijing Municipal Traffic announced that, Apple Pay would no longer charge fees for opening Beijing Municipal Traffic Card from August 2, and users who had previously opened the service and paid a refundable service charge could also initiate a refund application through the Beijing Card App, and the refund fee would be transferred to the balance of the card in the form of recharge.
With the popularity of electronic payment, Beijing Municipal Government Traffic Card has taken the lead in canceling the card opening fee for Android mobile phones in early July this year. With the addition of Apple Pay, iPhone 6 or newer models, and Apple Watch Series 1 or Updater Users can open the Beijing Municipal Government Traffic Card for free online.
