Lenovo Publishes ThinkSystem SR635 and SR655 Servers Based on AMD EPYC Rome Processor

Lenovo ThinkSystem SR635 is a 1UThe serverWith 16 DDR4 DIMMs, 64 GB RDIMM (up to 1 TB of total memory) and 16 2.5 inch NVMesSSD(or four 3.5-inch drives), M.2 boot disk, and three PCIe 4.0 x16 slots (for three single-width graphics cards, one PCIe X8 slot, one OCP standard slot, and one for connecting other I/O devices).

ThinkSystem SR655 is a 2U device. It also has 16 DDR4 memory slots and can support up to 1TB of memory. Because the fuselage is twice as tall, it can accommodate up to 20 3.5-inch hard disks or 32 2.5-inch NVMe SSDs, as well as 6 PCIe 4.0 slots, which can accommodate single-width GPU, OCP 3.0 connectors and other I/O devices.

ThinkSystem SR635 and SR655 both support hardware RAID flash caching and Aspeed's AST2500BMC's regular server management functions. According to the configuration, the two servers can be equipped with PSU up to 1100W. In terms of software compatibility, the system can run MicrosoftWindowsServer, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux and VMware vSphere.

ThinkSystem SR635 and SR655 servers will enjoy a one-year or three-year warranty, depending on the server configuration.
