C114 News Beijing time August 27 afternoon news (Jiang Junmu) According to foreign media reports, Huawei Mate 30/Mate 30 Pro mobile phones will continue to use Android operating system, and the Hongmeng operating system (Harmony OS) will soon be launched on smart watches.

The part of Huawei's launch of the company is to reduce the reliance on other companies. The company was included in the so-called Ministry of Commerce in June this yea

However, Huawei persists in maintaining a single ecosystem, at least for smartphones

Yang hinted that the upcoming flagship smartphone would run on Android. The equipment he mentioned is considered Huawei Mate 30/Mate 30 Pro. Meanwhile, Hongmeng OS will soon be launched on TV, he said, and smart watches based on the operating system will soon be launched. Smart watches may be released within this year, or even as a complementary product of Huawei Mate 30.

But that could change if the U.S. government enforces a ban on Huawei's access to important Android components. The U.S. Department of Commerce recently extended a temporary license to allow the Chinese company to continue its business with U.S. companies, but if the ban is maintained, Huawei may be forced to launch the Hongmeng OS smartphone.

If the company is banned from using Android, smartphones such as Mate 30 will not be able to access programs such as Google Play stores, which will be a huge trade barrier for European and American consumers.
