Apple unveiled a new generation of Apple Watch Series 5 at its fall 2019 launch, adding a long-anticipated permanent bright screen (Always-on Retina), which means the new Apple Watch will never stop on the screen and can see dial information anytime, anywhere. All dial has been adjusted for the new display screen and exercise application.
Normally, the screen is dimmed intelligently and lights up when you raise your wrist or click on the screen. Apple uses LTPO display in Series 5, which supports dynamic refresh from 60Hz to as low as 1Hz.
The Series 5 has a built-in ultra-low power display driver and a newly optimized dial to help it maintain battery life for 18 hours a day while permanently lit.
In addition, the, Apple Watch Series 5 built-in compass application and security application, in which the compass can be combined with a series of outdoor and star-watching App azimuth observation, while the security application further strengthens the original Apple Watch emergency help and other functional details, SOS can now make international help calls.
The new change in software lies mainly in the Research app. Apple will launch three health studies in Research to help further medical research on hearing, reproductive health and general health by taking advantage of the functions of Apple Watch.
Apple Watch Series 5 adds titanium metal and ceramic watchcases to the existing aluminum and stainless steel watchcases, as well as a new black Hermes model.
