Intel 10nm processors have been mass-produced and sold, and are expected to blowout in the market next year, launching desktop CPUs and other products.
Intel has been ordering materials and equipment for 7Nm EUV process nodes since August, the news said, and the pace has been accelerated. It is not clear which materials and equipment are included here. At least as far as lithography is concerned, only ASML can supply them. Intel, Samsung and TSMC are all in line for purchase.
Of course, it is not significant to compare TSMC, Samsung's 7Nm EUV and Intel. After all, the latter has a more stringent definition of technical scale. In terms of core CELL area and gate distance, the former two are basically equal to Intel's 10nm.
According to the former Vice President of Intel Cloud Business, he is very optimistic about the 7-nm product launched in 2021, if not unexpectedly, the data center GPU launch.
