On September 19WindowsHealth Dashboard wrote: "So far,MicrosoftNo search and start menu problems were found due to cumulative updates of KB4515384. However, it has been proved that Windows 10 May 2019 (Version 1903) function update has not fixed the start menu and built-in search problems after installing the latest cumulative updates.

A Microsoft Engineer at Microsoft Answers forum responded on October 12, citing Windows Latest: "We are aware of this problem and expect to release a solution in late October." At the time of writing, Microsoft had not updated the release notes for this month's patch Tuesday (KB4517389) to mention the long-standing problem of Windows 10 Start Menu. It's not clear whether the problem is widespread, but it's hoped that Microsoft will eventually fix it in the next patch of Windows 10 1903.
