On November 18, according to foreign media reports,The U.S. Department of Commerce announced another 90 day extension of Huawei's temporary license, allowing U.S. companies to continue business with Huawei.
After Huawei was listed as a regulated "entity list" on May 15, the US issued a 90 day temporary license on May 21. After the license expired, the US extended the 90 day period for the temporary license on August 17.
As for the reasons for the repeated extension of temporary permission, it is also very realistic,It is mainly convenient for Huawei to continue to provide follow-up support for existing US customersMany small and medium-sized urban and rural telecommunication networks in the United States are provided by some small operators. Most of these operators choose Huawei equipment because of the cost problem. If Huawei suddenly disappears, the subsequent maintenance of these operators will become a problem.
But U.S. officials are also trying to eliminate Huawei's influence in China after the U.S. planned to vote on a proposal to help small and medium-sized operators replace Huawei equipment.
