The 64 core 128 thread AMD thread riper 3990X is about to make its debut, and Asustek has created a new motherboard ROG Zenith II Extreme Alpha
When the first generation of AMD Ripper was born, Asustek launched the strongest Rog zenith extreme, which was later upgraded to Rog zenith extreme alpha with the second generation of Ripper.
By the third generation Ripper, the chipset has changed from x399 to trx40. Asustek has also provided a new Rog zenith II extreme, but it didn't come to this alpha version so fast.
Zenith II extreme alpha has little change. The only difference is that the power supply circuit is still a 16 phase circuit. However, when Infineon tda21472 drmos is replaced by Infineon tda21490, the maximum current that each phase can bear is increased from 70A to 90a, and the power supply controller should be asp14051.
Of course, Infineon tda21472 70A power supply can easily feed the 3990x of 64 core, so zenith II extreme is still not out of date, and it's easy to overclock.
Zenith II extreme alpha is more meaningful to better meet the challenges of extreme over frequency enthusiasts, such as the impact of liquid nitrogen and liquid helium on the world record.
Zenith II extreme currently sells for up to 10001 yuan. Zenith II extreme alpha will definitely only be more expensive.
PS:3990X is in hand, but the review has been delayed, everyone wait
