China Telecom announced today that between February 26 and June 30, it provided free speed-up service to 200m service for broadband users of optical fiber in telecom homes under 200m.
In the announcement, China Telecom also noted that during the free service period, less than 200m (excluding 200m) of China Telecom home fiber broadband users, through small-wing housekeepers to enjoy free 200m speed-up package, a single seven-day speed-up unlimited number of times.
According to the data released by the Ministry of industry and information technology, the total number of fixed Internet broadband access users of the three basic telecommunication enterprises reached 452 million, including 418 million FTTH / O users, accounting for 92.5% of the total fixed Internet broadband access users.
At present, broadband users continue to move to high-speed rate. Fixed Internet broadband access users with access rate of 100Mbps and above reach 380 million, accounting for 84% of the total number of users, 13.7 percentage points higher than the end of last year. By the end of November 2019, there were 720000 fixed Internet broadband access users with access rate over 1000m nationwide.
By the end of December 2019, the total number of cable broadband users of China Telecom and its parent company is 180 million.
