Nowadays, face masks have become an essential part of our life, but wearing masks can block some facial information, which brings us great inconvenience in using face ID. On March 7, @ Tencent security Xuanwu laboratory announced a temporary solution that allows users to unlock face IDS when wearing masks.
It's very simple. There are five steps. The first step is to take a brand-new mask, fold it left and right, and hang the two ear strings on one ear (both left and right ears) after they are overlapped. Hold the middle and lower position of the mask by hand and pull it to the half covered state. Note that the mask should be as close to the face as possible to avoid wrinkles, and the mask should cover the complete half of the nose tip.
The second step is to maintain the half mask state, and then start setting the face ID. If the face is occluded, the occluded area can be adjusted properly. In addition, the mask can be purposely made to slightly cross the midline of the face, resulting in excessive occlusion, and then gradually reduce occlusion through the above methods, so that the success rate of face unlocking is the highest.
The third step is to keep the position of mask and face unchanged and input facial information.
Step 4: remove the mask and unlock the phone.
Step 5: normally wear a mask to try to unlock the phone.
@Tencent security Xuanwu laboratory saidThis method is applicable to disposable medical mask, N95 mask, mask with breathing valve, etc. if the three-dimensional cup-shaped mask is used, although the mask cannot be folded, in theory, similar input operation can be carried out by cutting half of it. After the mask is removed, it can also be used normally.
The author uses disposable medical mask to input face ID on iPhone 11 by the above method. After the input is successful, it can be unlocked whether wearing the mask or not. Note that unlocking may fail. Try more times to improve the success rate. In addition, this method is a temporary solution. It is recommended to input facial information again after the epidemic.
