According to foreign media reports, there will still be differences in the various 5g phones that Apple will release this year, and only the iPhone 12 Pro Series will integrate all the new functions, so users who plan to change their phones are able to go directly to the top edition.

As mentioned in the report, Only two high-end iPhone, this year, iPhone 12Pro and iPhone 12Pro Max, will use ToF sensors. ToF sensors will bring iPhone a whole new experience. Apple will also launch a dedicated AR application to enhance playability.

TOF is short for time of flight. The so-called time-of-flight 3D imaging is to continuously send optical pulses to the target, then use the sensor to receive the light returned from the object, and obtain the distance between the target and the object by detecting the flight (round-trip) time of the optical pulses.

Prior to the iPhone 12 series, apple is expected to use the feature in a new generation of iPad Pro and bring users more AR play.

According to the previous industry chain, Apple will launch four 5g phones this year, all of which will use TSMC's 5nm A14 processor. Compared with the previous generation of A13, the new A14 will surely show more powerful performance under a more advanced architecture.

Last week there were run points for so-called A14 processors (apple A14 is likely to be the first ARM phone processor to officially exceed three GHz), with frequencies stacked to 3.1 GHz,GK5 mononuclear 1658 points and multicore 4612 points.

How much does A14 improve? The single core and multi-core performance of A13 is 1329 and 3468 points. By comparison, the single core performance of A14 is increased by 25% and the multi-core performance is increased by 33%. It is clear that this year, A14 is in the silent second Android camp again.
