Antibodies don't Protect Britain's Oxford New Crown Vaccine Failure: Human Hope depends on China and America

Unconsciously, the new coronavirus has infected 5 million people in the world, and there is still no sign of stopping, so it is very important to develop a new coronavirus vaccine. The acadox1 ncov-19 vaccine developed by the University of Oxford, UK, has previously performed well in animal experiments, but it still failed to produce antibodies that could not neutralize the virus.

The ChAdOx1nCoV-19 vaccine, a new coronavirus vaccine developed by the NIH National Health Hospital in the United States in collaboration with Oxford University, has been tested in six rhesus monkeys before it was announced earlier this month that the monkeys had successfully produced antibodies after injecting the strain.

However, the good news soon came bad news,The monkeys were all infected after exposure to the new coronavirus, and showed obvious symptoms.

Compared with the control group without vaccination, the virus content detected in the nasal secretions of monkeys is the same, which means that the antibody produced by the vaccine has no effect, and the vaccine can be said to have failed, at least in the current test.

The only good news isThree of the monkeys had shortness of breath, but there was no obvious lung damage. The Oxford vaccine may have some protective effects, but it is not successful to prevent the new coronavirus.

In global vaccine research and development,Oxford vaccine is a vaccine that has entered clinical validation outside of China and the United States. The failure of this vaccine means that all vaccines currently entering the clinical stage are developed by Chinese or American companies.

According to previous information from the Ministry of science and technology, among the five technical routes in China, the first and second phase clinical trials of adenovirus vector vaccine have been completed, and the results of the first phase have also been preliminarily evaluated. Clinical trials have also been carried out on four other inactivated vaccines. At present, there are 10 vaccines for clinical trials in the world, so the vaccine research in China is promoted together with that in the world.
