In the coming weeks, Facebook will launch short video applications in Instagram and Reels in the US and more than 50 other countries, thereby challenging TikTok tiktok overseas.Instagram launched reels in Brazil in November last year, France and Germany last month, and India last week. Analysts say the new service could give Facebook, which has nearly three billion users, an opportunity to prevent the rapid rise of rival services. Facebook has also tried to compete with competitors, such as snapchat, by imitating their services.
At present, tiktok is very popular in markets such as the United States, especially among teenagers. Data show that tiktok currently has more than 30 million active users in the United States.
