Current employee and founder of the Google free project, rob Clark,The MSM direct rendering manager driver update for the upcoming Linux 5.10 kernel has just been announced. This change is mainly reflected in the graphics / display driver of the Adreno kernel. The MSM direct render manager driver of Linux 5.10 is the first, which now supports the DisplayPort output of the Adreno hardware.

The second is to enable page tables based on each process for Adreno 600 series of GPU: MSM have been brewing this feature for many years, and now all aspects have finally come to fruition.
This series of hardware allows for higher isolation/security between processes accessing GPU, but still depends on ARM SUMMU patches provided separately to the Linux 5.10 kernel to allow page table switching at the hardware level.
Other work includes DSI support for sm8150 / sm8250 hardware, as well as other fixes and code improvements. For more details about DRM next in Linux 5.10, please go to the official website for a complete list of query requests.
