IPRdaily, a comprehensive intellectual property information service provider, has released the TOP100 global invention patents for VR/AR since 2020. From January 2020 to December 2021, VR/AR related invention patent applications made public were intercepted, and the TOP100 global VR/AR invention patent rankings since 2020 were released.
According to the list, on the whole, VR/AR market has initially formed three camps: Internet enterprises, universities and research institutes, and high-tech enterprises. The top 10 were Samsung, Tencent, Baidu, SONY, OPPO, Ping An Group, Sensetime, Canon, Huawei and Microsoft. Samsung, Tencent and Baidu ranked the top three with 4,094, 4,085 and 3,094 patents, respectively.
In addition, APPLE, boe, VIVO, hikvision, xidian university, lenovo, southeast university, wuhan university, Chinese Academy of Sciences, huiting technology, and dji also successfully ranked in the TOP100.
IT home learned that the China Information and Communications Institute predicts that the global virtual (augmented) reality industry scale will grow at an average annual growth rate of about 54% from 2020 to 2024, in which VR growth rate is about 45%, AR growth rate is about 66%, and the market share of both will be 240 billion yuan in 2024.
