Samsung's latest foldable products, the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3 FOR the US, are starting to receive software updates that bring long-awaited eSIM support, as well as dual card dual Waiting (DSDS).
T-mobile's new firmware versions are labeled Galaxy Z Fold3 F926USQU1DVEE and Galaxy Z Flip3 F711USQU2DVEE, The unlocked models are F926U1UEU1DVEE and F711U1UEU2DVEE. The software update is expected to be extended to other carrier versions soon.
As usual, this update is likely to be phased in.
ESIM support brings dual SIM capabilities - users can make a physical SIM and an eSIM work simultaneously via DSDS. The new update also brings a number of camera features first seen in Samsung's Galaxy S22 series. Foldable phones will also receive a security patch from June 2022.
