Baidu's total revenue for the second quarter was 29.6 billion yuan ($4.43 billion), down 5 percent from a year earlier, according to the results. Net profit attributable to Baidu was 3.6 billion yuan ($543 million), and "Baidu Core" posted a net profit of 3.7 billion yuan ($555 million) in the second quarter. Net income attributable to Baidu was 5.5 billion yuan ($827 million), excluding US General Accounting Standards (non-GAAP). "Baidu Core" net income was 5.4 billion yuan ($814 million) in the second quarter.

According to the financial report, the second quarter "Baidu core" revenue of 23.16 billion yuan, down 4% year on year, the estimated 22.59 billion yuan; Baidu Core posted a net profit of 3.7 billion yuan in the second quarter. Non-gaap, Baidu Core's second-quarter net profit was 5.4 billion yuan.
