In an interview with The Verge, Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger (Pat) was open to AMD and NVIDIA using their factories to make world-class cpus and Gpus.
In the interview, Pat said that at the inauguration of the Ohio Fab, he sat down with a number of ceos from fabless companies and welcomed them, even offering to put their logo next to the fab that makes the new product.
Talking about actual products to compete with NVIDIA and AMD, Patt said his company will win in this space and build the fastest high-performance computer in the world. The Intel CEO went on to say that his company will make the world's fastest CPU, the fastest GPU, and the fastest standalone graphics card.
Pat also said that it's not just AMD and NVIDIA, he wants to show the world that Intel is capable of being a world-class manufacturing company with the cutting-edge factories it has to meet their requirements. It will certainly take time, but just recently Intel's foundry Services was able to strike a strategic partnership with Mediatek to make its chips.
